Born in Santander, Jaime started his professional career in Madrid, working for an international law firm (Hammonds LLP) providing legal advice to Anglophone and Spanish clients in every kind of civil and corporate issues. In 2010 he returned to his home town to join the as a partner Lastra Abogados, SLP law firm, that merged in 2020 into Lastra Herrero Abogados, SLP jointly with Pablo Herrero Cobo.

Jaime speaks English and Spanish. 

Jaime has developed his career mainly focused in the civil and corporate field of the law, with special relevance in business and insurance matters, as well as providing global advice to companies and individuals in the administrative and contentious-administrative fields. He provides bilingual English – Spanish advice on judicial and extrajudicial matters in the mentioned fields, as a result of his experience working for international law firms.

Law Degree. San Pablo CEU University.

Master of Laws (Corporate Advisory) IE University.

Member nº 3980 of the Cantabria Bar Association and practicing lawyer advising numerous clients continuously de since 2007. Jaime assumes the secretary of the board of directors of some of the corporations that he assists.

Also has teaching expertise as former professor of Press and Publicity Law at “Centro Universitario Cesine”, Santander (Cantabria)
